MEET REBECCA

Knit Wit Yarn Shop is located in lovely downtown Culpeper, Virginia.  Sole proprietor, Rebecca Abecassis, has lived in Culpeper since elementary school only leaving the area for a several years living in Iceland and Whidbey Island, Washington.  But Virginia always felt like home so she moved back to Culpeper to raise her two children and has been in Culpeper ever since. It's been a goal to open a shop amongst the other small businesses in downtown Culpeper.  Now, Rebecca is able to combine her love of knitting and her passion for fair trade crafts as well as local and US made gifts that support other artisans and entrepreneurs. Rebecca is proud to support local artists, both far and wide.

We are proud to offer brand name, fair trade and local items. Products in our shop range from local yarns, fibers, and notions to fair trade, local and US made gifts with character including kitchen ware, jewelry, and clothing. We believe in carrying only well crafted items with personality. 

 

Our yarns include brand names like Universal Yarn, Berroco, Zen, and Dream in Color Yarn but also include yarns made by local dyers from surrounding counties and fair trade yarns from other countries.

of suppliers, including local resources.  

 

 

We take the time to research all of our resources before offering products in the store, insuring that the products we offer contribute to a fair economic system and the growth of honest companies. The products sold in Knit Wit Yarn Shop support local artisans, fair trade groups, and  American entrepreneurs.
